Hi, I’m Erika Schmidt
I am glad you are here. As a mom, teacher, and therapeutic facilitator, I have seen how one person can have a lasting effect on another. I would be honored to share the miraculous ways our bodies are created and how healing is possible.
I bring over 18 years of diverse experience in education, ranging from nurturing young minds as a Montessori teacher to guiding future educators as a professor.
Hailing from the heart of Minnesota, my academic journey, grounded in a BA in Psychology and a Master’s in Education, has been profoundly shaped by personal experiences, including overcoming trauma during my educational years.
For Adults: My approach is tailored to meet you where you are, supporting your process in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. Together, we can explore and engage with the tools and techniques that best support your unique path to healing. Each step forward brings us closer to the freedom and joy that is waiting for you.
For Children: As a steadfast advocate for children, I am committed to empowering educators with the knowledge and empathy necessary to unlock the full potential of every young person they encounter. The Safe and Sound Protocol and Integrated Listening System can support children by helping them become more regulated and integrated.
For Teachers: I support teachers navigating their past traumas through Story Workshops, Safe and Sound Protocol, Art Therapy, and personalized guidance. Together, let's foster healing and growth in our educational communities. Through workshops and trainings, I will bring awareness on what trauma in children can look like while giving a different approach on how to interact with those children who are struggling.
For Schools and Organizations: I am deeply passionate about enlightening schools and churches on the nuanced manifestations of trauma in individuals and advocating for the creation of psychologically safe environments. Through tailored workshops, I equip educators with practical tools to cultivate supportive spaces where children do not encounter debilitating misunderstanding, shame, or re-traumatization.
I look forward to partnering with you on the beautiful journey of healing,
